May I Take Your Order? 11/20/09

This past Friday night all of the kids got together and served anyone and everyone that wanted a good home cooked meal. The kids thought this was the neatest thing ever. It was also a great learning opportunity for them to learn to serve others before themselves. Some of them were making comments like, "Wow! Waiters have really hard jobs!" So maybe this will serve as a lesson to some of them, for when we are out eating.

Here are just a few snapshots from that night ;)

We had a great turn out!! Thanks to everyone that came. We really appreciate you guys!

The plates were bigger than some of the kids!

But they loved every minute of it. ;)

What would you like to drink?

After serving their tables, the kids put on a little dinner theater show for the ones dining with us. They sang a few of their new songs they have learned in children's church and recited some of the memory verses that they have worked so hard memorizing. We are so proud of you kids. These are just a few of them saying their verses.

Work Day! 11/7/09

The kids had a great time this past weekend helping clean up Ms. Nadine's yard! They loved just getting together and enjoying this beautiful weather we have been blessed with here lately. They didn't even realize they were working! They were having so much fun.

This is Quincy pulling Jacie in the wagon.

There were lots and lots of leaves to be raked and bagged up.

"All this hard work, we deserve a break" ;)

Taking a break and chatting with Ms. Nadine.

What better time is there to train children to do works for the Lord then when they are young?

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.-James 2:26
